About the Project

This project was Shopify focused website for an agencies client called OuiChef. They are a local food subscription service offering meal-box–style experience. The goal was to replace an outdated website and purchasing form with a new, HelloFresh-style online experience.

This was a new build from scratch, focused on elevating the brand’s digital presence while supporting online purchases and email collection.

Our Process

I worked as the lead developer, collaborating with a designer and copywriter to translate the visual and content direction into a good Shopify experience.

  • Implemented the approved design into a fully functional Shopify build

  • Developed custom sections to support flexible layouts and a luxury brand feel

  • Built a box-building feature (see here: **https://ouichefservice.com/en-ca/pages/box-builder**) to allow customers to customize their orders

  • Set up language settings to support a broader customer base

  • Integrated ****Shopify plugins to support SEO, language, purchasing etc.

  • Implemented first-time customer discounts

  • Configured postal code restrictions to serve only eligible local delivery areas

  • Built ****blog and FAQ sections to improve SEO

  • Optimized the site for mobile responsiveness and usability
